Wompusses...Repair Guys...and...Bobcats!

Our dear little Wompuss came to Jackson today on business (or...as she said...just for the food) and I was lucky enough to get to meet her.

Anyway, the visit was very brief, as...gasp...my Internet went out last night and I had to head home at lunch to meet the cable repair guy.

The cable guy was really nice and we chatted while he fixed my system. He asked me about my Mac and if I liked it because he wanted one (he's a musician). I told him he just HAD to get one...that I had used mine just this weekend to record a little Christmas ditty.

Then we chatted about squirrels chewing through cable lines and I told him I knew we also have opossums pretty bad around my neighborhood because of a nearby forest area.

And he said...get this..."I service homes up the road (closer to the forest) and y'all have bobcats, too."

Um...I freaked out a little at this point.

"Bobcats?! Bobcats?! I've lived here four years and am just learning there are bobcats in my neighborhood?"

He laughed (probably because he DOESN'T live near bobcats).

Anyway...the Internet is now fixed and, before heading back to the office, I thought I would share with y'all the pic of me and Womp (posted above...Womp on left...me on right).

Excellent Picture!!!

I am too too jealous! Glad y'all had the chance to meet! I now have this picture saved on my Soul Patrol hard drive!

My story today? Power went out here at 5:45am and back on for 5 mins at 8:55am (just long enough to brew coffee & see Taylor sing DMA) went back out until 10:30am .. And here I had my popcorn ready.. Thank goodness for the Taylor fans that capture all of this stuff!

Hope to see y'all tonight!

What did you gals do?

Yay Wompuss and Shelley! I wanna go too! And I want a picture with Queen Monkbot before she gets her star on Hollywood. :)

I think it's cool that we can put faces to some of the great people we've become friends with online.

I'm still wondering, though. Where is Monkbot? What has he been up to lately? Hmmm ...

Um, is a bobcat skeery? Our most recent brush with wildlife was fairly tame. A bunch of turkeys flew into my husband's truck when he was driving home day before Thanksgiving. He made a u-turn to check if they all made it, since all he heard was a series of thuds (non-Taylor) against his truck.

He happily reported no casualties on the road. But I'm sure one or two turkeys were nursing bruised bones, muttering something about men drivers under their breath.

We need to plan a get together during the tour...what do y'all think?

We should all meet in the middle somewhere and go to a concert together. That would be a hoot. Do you think anyone behind us would complain about the antennae on top of our heads?

I was kidnapped from a boring meeting by a monkbot from the Internet. She only kept me for about 10 minutes.
Viva la Monkbot!

I'm all for it, Shelley! That would be something if we could pull it off.

Next time I need rescuing from a boring meeting, I know who to call. Watch out for the big Monkbot signal in the sky.

Why yes, yes indeed it is, DD! ;)

I am also here to whine (already did on GC - I am sure much to his chagrin) about not getting Taylor's songs to work for me on Vh1. I know y'all wouldn't mind a little fist shaking. ;)

*shakes fist at computers*

(there, I feel better)

Awww -- you know that you are both beautiful and talented. And funny. And a bit nutty. It is all good. Glad you got to meet Wompuss. I would be there at a Monkapolooza/MonkBotStock, with bells on. Fab idea.
