Hee hee - agree that Earl Grey is a very cool title for Uncle Monkbot. Especially since the earl in question's name was Charles Grey...

So - are there any other historical comparisons? Earl Grey was into his popular culture, social politics, demographics, and as a parliamentary reformist, believed in giving the people their say on the topics of the day...Yeah - definitely a blog forefather!! Whoo hoo!

Off in search of a cup of the aforementioned fragrant brew to raise in honour of Shelley and Gray. Bet it tastes even better in that lovely mug!

Wonder if you can get chocolate Earl Grey...

Uh oh...Rowan mentioned chocolate....

Actually, I would love some Earl Gray, Rowan. Shall I be mother and pour??

Thank you dear. Most kind. Yes, please pour me a large steaming brew in a Gray Charles mug, and pass me that silver platter of fresh from the oven scones. Hmmm...warm wholemeal with butter and strawberry jam for me... yikes...how long till actual non-cyber tea-time? : (

Hoping not to be off-topic, but had to share this. Actually, I don't know if I could bring myself to share it! Well, maybe with my monkbot sisters! Bring on several long-handled spoons and copious amounts of Earl Grey in GC mugs!

Texan - funny!

Shelley - agree with Claire that it is a fab pic! Wonder if I order a mug it will arrive in one piece...may just have to takE the risk. It is very cool..or should I say, hawt!

Oh em gee, Rowan...I think I need that in my house for the next 2-3 Easters...which is how long it would take to eat all that! Hahaha.

I want a GrayCharles mug for my morning hot chocolate. Which means I really need a job to pay for it. :P

Rowan, omg, I can't believe you found a giant creme egg!!! Does this mean the revolucion is cancelled? I'm still ready to do my part in the States to help out. I'm stretching my long-handled spoon across the ocean and trying to look disinterested. LOL

Lee and Rowan, I'm taking my shoplifters coat and Doc Martens out of mothballs, for the imminent Revolucion!!

So, how's 3.30 tomorrow afternoon GMT for everyone? I'm thinking tea and scones, followed by a stirring Cadbury's Creme Egg advertisement marathon, and then....

REVOLUCION!!!!

Lee - hee hee!

Oooh yes, Claire - sisters, we must keep the momentum up, start the egg rolling! That lady was pushed to the very edge, forced out of desperate need to fashion a giant creme egg with her own hands... saw the sad, sad evidence as I was searching for an email address for Cadbury.

We must act now, and have the commercial product made available...I am not plastering about making my own...the time is now...well, maybe after another scone. Claire, mmm, these are good. Did you bake them, or are they da cherry bomb from Marks and Spencer's Food hall? Props either way!

More tea, Leejolem?

I am thinkin, what with all the tea, scones, and good cheer, Shelley might see a business opportunity in setting up a little sisters of Monkbot retirement home. We could reminisce about our confectionery revolutions, and have Taylor in to serenade us and bring us collages to jog our memories!

But that is a long way down the line. 3.30 tomorrow then, complete with draft emails to Cadbury. Get the kettle on, Claire...Lee will be in charge of importing the GrayCharles mugs.:)

I can't wait till I'm old and Taylor serenades me and brings me collages!! I will practice this evening by wearing Depends undergarments and rubbing Poligrip on my gums.

How many mugs shall I smuggle in?

Exactly where is this conversation going???

HC4S--do you want to volunteer to push me around in my wheelchair while Taylor hands out the collages?

Leejolem - ROFL!

I am definitely at the memory collage stage. Was looking at my desktop wallpapers, and found a lovely picture of Taylor in a beige jacket singing at Galleria. It all came flooding back...sitting for three hours listening to Rick and Bubba, talking to Texan in GC chat, watching the Birmingham Fox news videos..nostalgia nostalgia.

Began to suspect that all was not as it once was, when Birmingham Fox news became my sole source of news here in the UK. Would look up their international page to see what was going on over here! O_o

Well...if the BBC had given Taylor more airtime, I might have been more loyal. That is a cover-up for Taylor-induced sleep-deprivation aphasia, caused by hanging about at 2 am for performances and show results, twice a week for five months!

I am ordering my big slipper now, Lee. Would anyone else like one?;)

Maybe...will I get to go to Applebee's with Taylor???

OO....Foot muffs....I want one!

I want a big slipper (aka foot muff). I think it might be a little difficult to walk in, maybe I'll be needing the wheelchair sooner than I thought.

I finally looked at the giant creme egg. Nope. Looks mo more appealing in large scale. Can I join the revolucion, but with a Carmello?
