Jim Halpert or Chris Sligh...How Is a Girl to Choose?
Baby Duck sent me this article from The New York Times last night (thanks, sweetie).
Starting this week, Fox is spreading AI on with a friggin' trowel...with three nights of Idol...Tuesday-Thursday...for the next three weeks.
Please let me make clear something to The Idol Powers That Be...YOU DON'T HAVE A TAYLOR HICKS THIS YEAR, FOLKS! I'm not giving up three nights a week to this inane show...no matter how cute Ryan Seacrest is. I'll tape it or I'll do what all other normal people do...read about it the day after.
I won't be missing "Ugly Betty," "The Office," "Grey's Anatomy," or "Men in Trees" for some bloated results show.
I mean, a girl's gotta have her principles.
Plus...Jim's so hot.

I've never seen The Office, but thanks to a friend, I am in love with Jim...I have a link to a great YouTube video of him...*sigh*, haha.
LOL, "a girl's gotta have her principles"...funny stuff, Shell! I agree, though, it's just too much. I'm going to see John Mayer on Thursday dangit, and I can read the results when I get back w/o having to sit through an hour of filler. Chris isn't leaving this time around, so I don't care. ;)
Unfortunately, Ugly Betty is on hiatus until April 12th!! I am so sad...I'll be 20 by then...oh my, haha. Speaking of cute videos...Betty + Henry = love, hehe.

I am not going to miss The Office. I have never been a fan of the results show, and have been known to just tune in to the last 5 minutes, because really, do you need any more??
(And yes, that does mean that I missed Taylor in some of the cheezee group performances last year. And I am totally okay with that.)

Shelley, that article about Idol kind of ties in to your previous post--what's up with people still swarming to AI? Will it continue to be this phenonmenon w/o Taylor? I know I'm still watching, but I will limit it to 1-2 nights/week (as you said, a girl has to have her principles--lol). I don't think I can do a third. The Office and Survivor might be calling me!
American Idol/Fox is starting to remind me of the Donald... blech.

I only have eyes for Jim Halpert/John Krazy-inski!!! He is my one true love. I will love him forever, and nothing, nay not AI nor Taylor Hicks, will ever come between me and my sweetest obsession: Jim/John!
I've never been a fan of the results night on AI..I usually flip over during commercials. Luckily this 3 night thing will only be for 3 weeks and then we'll be back to the usual 2 nights.
I'm really looking forward to tonight when the Top 12 boys will sing. I'm a lot more interested in them than the girls...
I missed y'all this weekend ladies! I see I have tons of reading to catch up on....

Oh double boogers I am in Chicago on Thursday at a client presentation...okay what to do...WHAT.TO.DO?
1. I have iTunes for The Office- check! Need that all important Jim H fix!
(By the by, anyone else notice that Andy just faded away? or Did I miss something in my PeterPan Peanut Butter haze?)
2. Double check that TiVo will indeed capture the all important AI...must have results night even though we have not reached the all consuming, super double packed, "Chris Daughtry Goes Home", level of drama yet for season six. (I have faith the twist will come...looking for season 6 diva for the formula shocker)
3. Tell parents who are baby sitting Beau to NOT CHANGE THE CHANNEL when AI comes on! Unfortunately, this will be the step that undoes me...I just know it. Just as Ryan says "And the person who is going home is..." my father will switch to FoxNews or something equally inane.
I'll watch AI but still underwhelmed. Starting to get more underwhelmed with even .
His act is starting to wear thin with me. Maybe it's because there's been NO SINGING!?!
I'm not into The Office so it's Ugly Betty for me.
