The Perfect Taylor Hicks Set list for the Monkbot Convention

Okay...Double D and Shrew had a great idea...let's put our thinkin' caps on and come up with the perfect set list for Taylor when he hits The Big Easy on March 14.

Keep your list to 16 songs and one encore only.

Be sure to list in your comment if you will be attending the show!

I'll start...

1. Soul Thing
2. Hold on to Your Love
3. Just to Feel That Way
4. Feelin' Alright
5. The Runaround
6. The Fall
7. Georgia
8. Levon
9. Poor Boy (by Ray Lamontage...think Taylor could sing some sweet harp in this)
10. Hell of a Day
11. Ain't No Sunshine
12. Louisiana 1927
13. Heaven Knows
14. Use Me
15. The Right Place
16. Hollywood Nights

Encore: Taylor pulls Shelley on stage and sings "You Can Close Your Eyes" with her while he plays the guitar...no other instruments.

Spotlight fades...curtain closes...

(I guess it's pretty obvious I like the slow stuff best...ha.)

SLY please!

But NOT Dance to The Music...try on something else

Boogie on Reagge Woman (my choice for Stevie Week last year)

A jammin' version of A Kiss to Build a Dream On as tribute to Sachmo

And I have ALWAYS wanted to hear the man sing Reason To Believe

You Can Close Your Eyes with Shells cause that would just be da bomb yo!

Not a long list, but I do believe there are some real dark horses

OOOOOOh and Monkey In Your Soul by Steely Dan for obvious reasons...

Hey a gal can dream right?

I know this is heavy on CD and AI, with some pre-AI CD stuff, but I'm just not that familiar with his LIMBO stuff.

Lee! Thank you so much for GMT!! I was just gonna say that I hope he sings that while staring me down from across the crowded room....while I give him the look that says: "Who, me?"

Jenfera, oh my gosh, Shameless would be awesome. I've seen Garth 2x in concert and he has unbelievable charisma like Taylor. I might pass out if Taylor sang Shameless.

After reading these lists I think Taylor needs to sing for 3-4 hours at each concert. What are we gonna do 10 yrs from now when he has multiple cd's out???

lee, I think Shameless and JTFTW have similar structures to them. I've been wishing he did that since country week, instead of Country Roads.

Hey, can I make a last minute substitution? Forget Mark Cohn, I want Workin' for a Livin' by Huey Lewis & The News. And to support my case, here's the cast of The Office.

Somewhat off-topic, but for the Mobile set, I'd like to see/hear Grandma's Hands by Bill Withers as I'm sure Ms. Joni will be in attendance.

I will be at the Convention, but I don't have too many requests. I'd like Heaven Knows in there somewhere, and I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE some "Will it Go 'Round in Circles" since I didn't get to see that in the shadow tour last year. Other than that, gosh, anything would be great.

(But NOT the phone book. I'm not that kind of fan!)
